Providence Energy Corp.

Providence Energy Corporation (acquired by New England Gas Company in 2000) was a diversified energy services company serving New England. The company owned two regulated natural gas distribution companies, Providence Gas Company in Rhode Island, and North Attleboro Gas Company in Massachusetts. The company also owned Providence Energy Services, Inc., a nonregulated marketer of natural gas, electricity, oil and energy services.
